Run Payments

Because life is busy, reminders get missed, and payday doesn’t always line up with due day. My job = making sure the wheels keep turning (literally).

Check Messages/Emails/Voicemails/Texts/Website

Every channel possible — because some folks like to text, others email, and a few just swing by in person with cookies (which, honestly, I prefer).

BMV / Title Work

Stacks of paperwork, scanning, and sending to the BMV. All done from my desk. No field trips, just the joy of scanning, re-scanning, and yelling at the computer when it says “file too large.”

Paid-Off Customers’ Title Work

The happiest paperwork I get to do — handing someone their title is like watching them graduate from Cars To Go University. 🎓🚗

Marketing / Advertising

Make Cars To Go sound irresistible. Sometimes that’s a clever radio ad, sometimes it’s a Facebook post that says “YES, we’re open today.”

Handle Bankruptcies

A little less fun, but part of keeping the paperwork world in order.

Check & Verify Insurance Cancellations

Sometimes people forget, sometimes things get messy. My job: keep everyone covered so no one ends up in a heap of trouble when that unexpected accident happens and they didn’t have coverage.

Write Newsletters & Radio Copy

Where I get to flex my creative muscles. Basically, I write reminders and updates but try to make them sound fun instead of naggy.

Sell Cars

The part of the job everyone thinks is all we do. Truth: it’s about 10% selling and 90% everything else on this list.

Repo Cars

Rarely fun, but always memorable. It’s like a treasure hunt, except the treasure is a Ford Fusion.

Process Paperwork

AKA: Why is the pile of forms taller than my popcorn bucket?

Fight With the Copy Machine

Still undefeated. It senses fear.

Eat Popcorn

Fuel for the brain and soul.

Check Credit Disputes

Just part of helping people build their financial story. Sometimes it’s cleaning up confusion, sometimes it’s explaining the fine print.

Clean the Office

Because popcorn kernels do migrate.

Prepare Weekly/Monthly Reports

Spreadsheets: my love/hate relationship.

Payroll

Payday = happiest day of the week. (Unless you’re the one running it, then it’s stress-snack day.)

Match Statements to Invoices

Like speed dating, but with paperwork. Sometimes they’re soulmates, sometimes it’s awkward.

Beg Someone to Get Me a Vanilla Coke

The single most important survival tactic of my day.

Deal With Insurance Claims & Total Losses

Nobody plans for accidents, but when they happen, I help keep the process from feeling like quicksand.

Direct Traffic to the Right Person

Since my email is basically the town square, I spend half the day pointing people to the right “department.” (Yes, we do have a department for that.)

Collapse Into Chair

Reflect on the chaos, laugh about it, then do it all again tomorrow. Because honestly? I wouldn’t trade the stories for anything.
